What to expect on the new #BSC Retro Game Themed Protocol
From Mario Kart to Donkey Kong, Street Fighter to Pac-Man, Retro World brings together the nostalgia of retro gaming with the modern day benefits of cryptocurrency yield-farming, this creates a flawless and revolutionary protocol that we call the Retro World.
Features of the protocol include built-in retro games which users can play for high scores to earn rewards and prizes. We will also be releasing our range of exclusive NFT art work both 2D and 3D that will be available on the platform.
What is Yield-Farming ?
Yield farming, is a way to generate rewards with your Retro Token holdings. In essence, it means locking up Retro Tokens and getting rewards. Those reward tokens may then be deposited to other liquidity pools to compound block rewards with our unique farming LP’s.
We have carried out extensive test-net reviews and adjustments to our farming and staking contracts to ensure our community enjoys a seamless and rewarding experience when implementing varied strategies.
What are the native tokens of The Retro World ?
The governance token of The Retro World is the Retro Token (RETRO) and has a fixed 85,000 supply with mint function removed. Our native token will have multi-functionality within the Retro World ecosystem.
The first of which is tied to Governance which is essential to maintain integrity and democracy within our community, whilst also ensuring that our farmers can drive the inherent direction of our ecosystem.
We plan to implement a staggered voting system as part of the RetroDAO to enable our community to partake in the pivotal yet organic decision making process usually determined by development teams.
We have also chosen to adopt a dual token ecosystem so rewards earned by our farmers does not inflate the supply of RETRO.
Like many reward coins from retro gaming we have also deployed our own reward token called Gold Coin (GLD) and will be able to be earned by either farming or staking. GLD will be able to be exchanged for RETRO at a competitive ratio.
Token addresses are yet to be confirmed and we will take this time to warn our readers of clone tokens that are NOT related to Retro World.
How will games be integrated on the Retro World website ?
When our site goes live we urge our Retro World community to navigate their way over to the Arcade where they can play the first of many online Retro Games.
Pac-Man and Space Invaders will be our first built in games and we will incorporate a leader board competition where each week the highest scoring gamer will receive an Air Drop reward of either Tokens (RETRO, BNB) and the outstanding scores will receive one of our exclusive 2D NFTs in our N64 Collection.
We will be enforcing a max leader board win streak of 2 weeks, to give other community gamers a chance to challenge for the top spot.
As part of our voting system, the community will be given the opportunity to have their own input as to what games they would like to see on the platform.
We will be doing regular polls with gaming options compatible with our website, this is will be a fair yet dynamic selection process putting the controller directly in community hands.
What NFT art work will be released ?
We are proud to announce our first range of 2D and 3D NFTs in our N64 Collection.
Community members who share our gaming passion would be very familiar with the Nintendo 64 (N64) gaming console and might have even owned one themselves. The N64 featured classic games that have withstood the test of time: Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda and 007 Golden Eye but to name a few.
Initially we reached out to many artists who showed a keen interest in bringing iconic gaming images over to the crypto-world, and after multiple rounds of feedback and development we are proud to have come to an agreement with our exclusive artist for the N64 Collection.
The NFTs in the N64 Collection will be available uniquely to our community where they can enter our gallery via the website home page link.
